1. Overview
NovaUp is provided by Pixel Geek LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information or use your content to train third-party advertising models.
2. Information we collect
We collect account information, the Sparks and photos you add, optional health and fitness data, basic usage and device information, and essential cookies. Analytics cookies run only with your permission.
3. Health and fitness data
With permission, the mobile app reads current-day activity data from Apple Health or Health Connect to check a daily goal. Raw health records stay on your device; only a short derived win text may become a Spark.
4. The Observatory and Nova voice conversation
Voice recordings are processed in memory and sent to OpenAI for transcription. Questions and limited Spark history may be processed by OpenAI for an answer, and Nova's reply is sent to Fish Audio for speech synthesis. Voice audio is not stored on NovaUp servers after transcription.
5. How we use your information
We use information to provide the Service, store history, build streaks, generate summaries, keep accounts secure, understand aggregate usage, and communicate about the Service.
6. Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember preferences. Google Analytics runs only after you choose to accept analytics cookies.
7. How we share information
We share information only with service providers needed to run NovaUp, including Clerk, Google Analytics with consent, OpenAI, Fish Audio, and cloud infrastructure providers. We do not sell personal information.
8. Data security
Sparks and written summaries are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM and in transit using HTTPS. NovaUp is not end-to-end encrypted because Nova needs access to your Sparks to generate requested features.
9. Data retention
We keep information while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or comply with law.
10. Account deletion and your rights
You can delete your account at any time. We remove or anonymize your content and personal information except where law requires retention. Visit the account deletion page.
11. Children's privacy
NovaUp is not intended for anyone under 13 or the minimum age of digital consent in their country.
12. Changes to this policy
When material changes are made, we update the last-updated date and, where appropriate, notify users in the app.
